The mediation service settles civil and commercial disputes between two or more parties. An independent, neutral mediator handles any disputes on business matters and between commercial activities and consumers to encourage conciliation. The mediation process may be launched at one party's request, pursuant to a contractual clause, or summoned by a judge.
It does not prevent the possibility of taking legal action. The mediation process is confidential and nothing will be recorded or written down. It occurs before a tribunal.
