To spread and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit among women, three memorandums of understanding have been signed since 2000 between the Ministry of Economic Development and the National Union of Chambers of Commerce.
This has led to the creation of committees for the promotion of female entrepreneurship in the member Chambers of Commerce. Bergamo created its own committee among the first in Italy. Ever since its creation, the Bergamo committee has dedicated its time to running training initiatives, seminars and research for both male and female entrepreneurs, focusing on topical and wide-ranging issues.
Women interested in getting (back) into the world of work by launching new business activities or by becoming self-employed can also avail themselves of the Orientamento Crisalide service. By using special tests, this service supports users in evaluating their personal skills and sharpening the business aptitudes and capabilities needed to achieve their business idea.
